How Does OfferBox Invade Onto Computer?

Your computer has been locked by OfferBox? Don’t know how to unlock computer from it? Scanned with antivirus programs, but my system is still locked by OfferBox? If you don’t know how to get rid of it, read below article.

OfferBox Introduction:

OfferBox is a tricky ransomware that extort user’s money by locking the desktop of victims’ computer with a fake notification. As long as this infection gets on targeted computer, it will show a lock page which controls the whole screen of a computer. OfferBox threatens victim that all files including images, videos, documents etc on your computer are encrypted. You should purchase a private key to decrypt the files. Private Key should be purchased within the given time limit and then only files will be decrypted and user will get access to windows system. Otherwise files will never be restored.

On the popup page, it suggests user how to decrypt files, user is suggested to open the sites called: 4sfxctgp53imlvzk.onion.to/index.php and if this site can’t open, you need to install a browser called http://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowsers.html.en and then you have to run 4sfxctgp53imlvzk.onion.to/index.php. Even though user has done all steps listed in popup page still they can’t unlock this nasty program.

If you see the same messages as shown previously, please don’t believe what bogus warning says. OfferBox is a scam that is created by cyber criminals to make money by cheating users into fake hooks. The rasomware uses scare tactics to make users feel afraid that their files have been encrypted and expose crucial information to the public. Many users are forced into this scam and has paid fine, but still they cannot get rid of the locked screen.

How Does OfferBox Invade Onto Computer?

OfferBox uses exploit kits to enter into user computer via found software security and network vulnerabilities on their computers
Some malicious websites or malicious links that have been hijacked, spam email attachments contains exploit kits of OfferBox, when you click on them exploit kits will be downloaded onto computer automatically
You may be convinced that certain freeware or shareware software is very useful for you. After you download and install it, the exploit kits of OfferBox may also be installed on computer packaged with software
Computer may also be captured this malware via peer to peer file sharing which may carry potentially unwanted programs
