Windigo is a malicious adware and it should not be installed in your system or else you will have great difficulty in running your PC properly. This is because the program disrupts the normal functioning of the system and also disturb the user every now and then. You should always be alert while downloading an installing any software from an unknown source or else the the adware will be in your system. If it is already in your computer then it has start doing it work which is downloading the ads from the internet without your permission and then showing it on your screen regularly. Sometimes the user is fine with the ads that come occasionally but when it becomes endless the you have to bother about it.
Windigo also degrades the pc performance and the response time because it takes a huge amount of system resources to run in the background. This is also one of the reason you should get rid of it because even after you terminate the program it can restart automatically.

It will redirect the browser to the new page and half of the goal of the adware is achieved which is to increase the site visit. Now if you choose to buy or download anything from the site then you are taking a great risk because all of this is fake. You must remove Windigo now.
